Puzzler Options

Prefences

  • Lighting: Toggles the lighting effect.
  • Texturing: Toggles textures on/off
  • Always On Top: With this set, Puzzler will stay on top of other windows
  • Windowless: With this setting off, a window will be around the puzzle.
  • Escape Key Minimizes: With this setting off, the escape key will exit the current puzzle. By default, escape will minimize the puzzle into the taskbar. Doubleclick on the taskbar icon to reactivate the puzzle.

Puzzle Options Dialog:

This dialog is where you set individual puzzle options, as well as choose a new puzzle to play.

Puzzle Tab:

Here you will see a preview of the the current puzzle settings, as well as two buttons. The "Default Everything" button sets all defaults for colors and textures. The "Back Arrow" button moves up the menu heirarchy to select other puzzles. See Puzzles for more information on each puzzle.

Colors Tab:

The Colors Tab is where you customize the colors used by this puzzle. Each side and what color is currently used will be displayed as well as which color is used for the background color (if no background texture is selected). Select your desired color and look at the results in the preview window. Hit the "Default All" button to restore the defaults for colors.

Textures Tab:

The Textures Tab is where you customize the textures used by this puzzle. Select the radio button of the desired side to change the texture. Hit "Default" to default the current selection, "Default All" to reset all sides. Here is where you can customize the images on the textured puzzles, such as the Cut Picture Cube. As of the Puzzler Update, you can use any BMP or JPG file as your texture. See the results of your settings in the preview window.
