PocketJigsaw Help

PocketJigsaw is designed to be intuitive, however if you have suggestions to make it more so let me know.

The play area is divided into three sections, the main play area, the toolbar, and the overview area.

Main Play Area:

The main play area is where the puzzle is. This area scrolls from left to right when you drag pieces to the left and right sides of the screen. To put a piece of the puzzle together, simply drag two matching pieces next to each other and they will click together. If they don't, they don't match or you don't have them lined up properly. Note that in order for pieces to match they must be facing the same way up (two sided pieces) and at the same orientation (rotated the same). Pieces can be selected either by clicking on them directly or by dragging a rectangle around several pieces at once. Once selected the pieces can be dragged, rotated, or flipped.

Toolbar:

Exit: Exits to the splash screen. You can also use any hard button to exit immediately from the game
File: Opens the file menu:

New: Shows you a list of available images (either in the install folder, My Documents, or any Storage Card folder) to cut up into pieces. Select one by double tapping or by clicking on it and pressing the ok button. The selected image will be cut into the same size pieces as the last puzzle
Load: Load a saved puzzle
Save: Save the current puzzle to storage
Cancel: Go back to the main menu

Options: See Options
Mix: Will display six different sized icons corresponding to the desired piece size. Hit one of these to cut up the puzzle, or hit cancel to go back to the puzzle you were working on
Rotate Left: Rotates all selected pieces left
Flip: Flips all selected pieces to its other side.
Rotate Right: Rotates all selected pieces right
View: Shows you the current puzzle in its solved state. Great for seeing where that certain piece goes

The Rotate Left, Right and Flip buttons will be disabled (grayed out) automatically if you disable the option to rotate and flip pieces in the options menu.

Overview Area:

This area shows an overview of all of the pieces of the puzzle. Each piece is a white rectangle for speed (drawing miniature pieces on the pocket pc was too slow or took too much memory to store duplicate pieces). Click anywhere on this overview section to scroll the Main view to this location. Drag in this area to quickly scroll the Main view area.
